“ Rudy – the Rooster ”
A note from the writer
This is an epic biography on the infamous rooster know as Rudy. ( Ghagus breed found in native Karnataka as Nati Koli )
We have heard that Rudy has accomplished some unbelievable feats that most chickens of any breed wouldn’t dare to attempt. He has reached such great heights in life that all the roosters in the entire poultry farm envy him. Now let’s explore what he has achieved to become a living legend.
Beginning
Chapter 01
“Cuck cuck cuck Puckaaa chuck.“
“ I am tired of fucking this chicks,” said Rudy
Meet Rudy the rooster, born and raised on a “Fry or Roast Chicken Farm.“
The Fry or Roast chicken farm is huge, covering 80 acres of land, with a total of 26 poultry farms, each starting from alphabetical letters A to Z. Rudy was born in the R Poultry farm.
In the Fry or Roast Chicken Farms, there are approximately 3,00,000 to 5,00,000 chickens with a rough ratio of 1:15 between males and females.
Rudy has 289 older brothers and 1613 older sisters, 10 younger brothers, and 129 younger sisters including his uncles and aunts. This year he turns 5. Rudy is not the most handsome rooster, he is the bravest and a legendary cock in the surrounding seven poultry farms.
His parents are cool and his mom didn’t mind that his dad had many wives before and after her. His dad had a total of 147 wives and his mom was wife number 69. His uncles and aunts were caring for him and all the chickens born on R poultry farm. They never differentiate their kids and their relative’s kids. All in all, they were one big, happy family.
By birth, Rudy was not an outstanding cock. He was one among 473 chicks hatched on that day. Every day thousands of eggs hatch in R poultry farm. More than 5000 eggs were taken away by humans.
In poultry, hens lay eggs every day. One hen lays one egg per day. Roughly one poultry has 3000 to 5000 hens that depend on humans who maintain them.
When an egg hatches and a chick pops out of its shell, humans will decide which colour to apply on that day. Luckily, it was “RED” that day, so all the chicks are now red.
( Applying color is a painful process to this chick most of the time, it enters the eyes and burns them or enters through the nose and touches their sensitive skin, which is irritating and itchy. When the chicks are born only the cocks are colored, not the hens. Then, they are sold for 10rs for kids. When the chicks are born hens are separated from cocks because hens can breed but cocks are useless until they grow up and are ready to be eaten.)
After applying the color for the chicks including Rudy they were thrown out of the room under the sun for drying. They are put inside an open bamboo fence so they can’t run or hide under the shade or shadow until the color dries up completely.
At the same time, it is dangerous to stay in the open because eagles or crows snatch the chicks as they are their food.
When all the chicks were under the sun Rudy’s father came to visit them for one last time.
This was the first time Rudy saw his father. His walk was slow and graceful with confidence. He had broad shoulders and a puffed-up chest. He took one step at a time no rush.
His father is a handsome, dominating prideful and colorful rooster in R poultry. His feathers glowed brightly in the sunlight, and he had a comb on top of his head which was bright red and looked like a crown. His body was covered in black and dark red-orange feathers and from neck to shoulder was covered in bright gold and reds. He had a pointy black high-arched tail Overall, he Dominated all the roosters and everyone in R poultry just with his looks.
He knew that when the chicks get colors on them they will disappear from the farm and nobody knows where they go and they never come back.
When Rudy’s father was looking at his next generation with a calm look and no expression. There was no arrogance no pride, no ego because he had seen so many of his babies disappear before. He had become cold and calm and got used to this scene.
When Rudy looked at his father only for brief moments their eyes met each other for a second but there was no connection. He didn’t feel any connection with him or any emotional attachment to him.
His father looked at them for one last time turned around, took a few steps, and stopped in his tracks. He noticed a shadow flew past him over the head towards the chicks.
In that split second, he knew exactly what it was. All his instincts told him to run, hide, and take cover. He wanted to run but his legs didn’t move, He wanted to fly but he couldn’t open his wings. His heart started beating wildly but he didn’t listen to any of it. If there was any other time he might have run to hide or take cover but this time it was different.
He could feel all his feathers standing erecton in his entire body. Even his tail feathers looked like a porcupine’s throne. Every feather was screaming at him to run for his life.
He ignored this feeling and turned around to face the eagle, his arch-enemy. This eagle had killed so many of his family and friends. He was a hungry predator who viewed everyone as his prey. He was so fast and quick that you wouldn’t see him or hear him coming and going. Only the feeling that terror was approaching and it was over in a few seconds.
He wanted to run but his gut feeling said he could do it. He closed his eyes and opened them, feeling like everything was moving in slow motion or stopped or frozen in time.
He could see the butterfly’s 17,000 mini compound eyes reflecting the image of the flower he was going to lick and suck with his wings spread open extending his tongue straight to try to stick deep in the flower to lick the juicy nectar from the young newly bloomed flower.
He could see the poultry farmer pressing his middle finger in between his ass checks towards his butthole pressing his finger deep down scratching the outer part of the butthole over the lungi with his eyes half closed and half open, unfocused, not staring at anything, with his mouth opened a bit which indicated that he had hit the right spot.
Another farmer next to him sitting under the tree topless cleaning his belly button and sniffing his finger the particular belly button which was stuck in his fingertip slipped and entered his wide open nostrils as he sniffed it will full power of his lungs.
Around 100 ft away, inside the poultry shed, he saw through a two-inch small hole that one of his rival roosters from F Poultry had sneaked into his territory thinking he was not around and trying to wow and impress his new hot young wife no 158.
But he didn’t allow any of this to distract him but used all this to fuel his burning fury. He knew he would rip all of his rivals soon. But he didn’t bother with any of these things because he was only focused on that eagle which had spread its claws towards the chicks and tried to hold them in his claws.
He could feel his feathers standing erect on his entire body. Even his tail feathers which were bent downwards after growing long, looked like a porcupine’s spikes. For instance, it looked like he was glowing and was going to explode in rage.
He charged at the eagle, spreading his wings, running in full bust, which was inside the bamboo fence trying to save more chicks from his claws.
The eagle sensed the incoming threat towards it quickly turned around let go of the chicks from his claws and charged at the rooster. What followed was an intense battle In the battle, a couple of chicks were blown out of the fence, Rudy was one among them.
He was tossed into one of the shelters which was close by and landed on one of his aunts who was staying at the battle which was happening.
He got up turned around, and saw the battle which was happening right in front of Rudy’s eyes. He saw his dad literally drag the eagle down, picking its head and using his claws to rip the eagles apart.
At the same time, the eagle was matching every attack and counter-attacking the rooster.
The eagle flying down with his claws stretched out and wings spread outlin an aerodynamic way to increase maximum speed and power to kill.
And at same time, his dad was crouching on the ground, well-balancing his body, drawing the energy from the earth, building as much energy as possible, and suddenly bursting and exploding towards the eagle with his claws stretched open to catch the eagle and pin it down on the ground.
This image was firmly imprinted in the young Rudy’s heart forever.
At that moment, a few things were crystal clear to Rudy, and one of the things was about two tiny things hanging on both sides.
The two tiny things which I have as my arms are not useful. They are my wings and I can fly too.
