” My Son is a Genius “

When will you realize that your children are smarter than you? When do they grow up? When they do something smart, Something crazy, or Something amazing?

Well, my son did all this in one move!

It was a regular day like any other, I reached home after work. Seconds before knocking on my door, my sixth sense told me that my wife was pretty upset. My first thought was “What did I do?” I started thinking if she had asked me to bring something. I thought for a moment but nothing came to head. I am a good husband I remember everything there is to remember. There’s no way I would forget anything, I have full confidence in that. So, I went inside with a serious look on my face just to intimidate my wife.

But it didn’t work on her. One look at me and she started blasting me left and right, saying I am not doing anything at home.

“All you do is get up, take a bath, have food, go to work, come back, have food and go to bed, You do this every day. You have no responsibility in my life!” etc., blah, blah, blah…

By this moment, all the alarms in my head started going off like crazy.

I thought, What happened?” I started thinking about all the possibilities that might have gone wrong on this particular day. I took a full 15 minutes to think about the problem.

For one minute I thought about the real problem. For the rest of the 14 minutes, I kept staring blankly at one spot, completely zoning out.

I got snapped back into reality by my 6-year-old son jumping on my lap. I grabbed my son kissed him on his cheek and asked him, “What have you been doing since morning? Did you eat? Did you fight with your friends? “Why is your mom so angry at me?”

” I DON’T KNOW” he replied, My wife jumped out of the kitchen like a ninja and told him to show the answer paper.

He brought his school bag, pulled out a piece of paper and showed it. Like showing a newspaper or something like it’s not related to him.

I stared at the paper. I didn’t know what to think after seeing it but my inner thought was, “My Son is a genius” wow!

At that moment my parents came back from an evening walk. I showed this paper to my dad to see his reaction. My dad burst into laughter as I had never seen before.
My dad looked at me then at my son and then back at me, saying, ” He is a genius “.

Then he said his father, who was a farmer, never went to school. And he himself hadn’t started school until he was 10. “But you started attending school from LKG, (lower kindergarten) and still got 0/10 in UKG (Upper kindergarten ). Compared to all, your Son is a genius, he got at least 1/10. He is a real Genius!”

And my wife was the happiest of all. She was like “My son is smarter than you “.

And I was speechless. I didn’t know whether to laugh or to cry. Whether to feel embarrassed that I got zero or to feel proud that my son.

Fact
My son wasn’t feeling well on that day when the teacher decided to give them a surprise test. He had been healthy when he left for school, but by lunchtime, he wasn’t well. We got a call from the school and were told to pick him up. In between that time, she gave a test to them.

My son wrote whatever he felt like writing in full confidence instead of leaving it blank.
Pretty cool, right? A true Genius !!!
